By passing a time, the area of seed production by this company increased, and company forced to buy its land. At present, company of Dremoni, by having 300 hectare its farm and also making contact with other farmers in neighbouring cities in area of 700 hectare, become one of the biggest Greeck company in case of cereal and legume production.

At 2012 company open a new branch in case of seed production and start producing vegetable seeds, at the beginning was focus on tomato and pepper and then extended to eggplant, watermelon, cucumber and melon.For achieving the success in all field and based of our intention for doing innovative works, the company has a close connection with other research institute and universities. 

Seed production

Seed production consist of two different parts: research and breeding parts and multiplication of the seeds. Three main groups of seeds that we work are: cereal, legume and vegetable seeds. In each category we produce number of different crops.  The seed production takes place in areas close to the company's headquarters (Prefectures: Karditsa, Larissa, Fthiotida) in area about 1000 hectare. There is continuous and careful monitoring of crops by the company's agronomists at all stages of cultivation from sowing to harvest.

Seed processing, cleaning and sorting are apply coincide with the standard of ELOT EN ISO 9001: 2008. Humidity measurement, activity test, control of insect infestations, determination of broken grains and foreign materials, determination of seed thousand weight is done by the quality control parts.  

STANDARDIZATION

 In this part, seeds passed from different machines, and finally should be cleaned. In each part of cleaning additional sampling will be taking for better assessment and analyze the seeds. Seeds will be sorted based on colour and weight. Packaging related to the crops can be different, in case of vegetable seeds we have pack of 5000 – 10000 seeds, 100 and 500 gram and for others we have pack of 500 gram, 1 -5-10-25-40-50  and 1000 kg. 

DECONTAMINATION

Seed disinfection is now a common and necessary agricultural practice. Here, in this company we try to produce a seed without any infestations, for achieving this goal from the beginning when we plant the seed, we try to apply a correct programming in case of fertilizer and irrigation, so if we have a vigorous plant surely percentage of infection that maybe cause by pathogens is reduced. Also, in case of other agronomical activities we try to do write things in a write way just to produce a healthy seed.

Tomato:

Tremendo F1

90 days. Determinate and plant height of 95 cm.  The plant produces high yields. Perfect for fresh consumption and also canning. Open field variety has a good leaf canopy for sunburn protection and can be used for green ripening. The plant will set fruit even in hot conditions. The plant has resistance to V, N, and TSWV.

Korint

75 days. 150-180 cm height. Semi-determinate. Open Pollinated. This early maturing plant produces good yield. They can be use as a fresh consumption. Crack-resistant and also drought tolerant variety. Plant requires support, like stake. Also it can be plant in greenhouse and open field.

Dremonis 

90 days. Indeterminate. 140-160 cm height. Open Pollinated. The plant produces good yields. It can be use as fresh consumption. Suitable for open field cultivation. 

Numpi 

90 days. Indeterminate, 80-100 cm height. Open Pollinated. The plant produces high yields. Can grow in different climate conditions. Has a good tolerant to heat condition. Crack-resistant.

Pepper:

Potami

Open pollinated. 50 cm height. 80 days. Plant produces good yields of 10 cm long red sweet peppers. Peppers are very sweet, have thick walls, and turn from green to red when mature. Good for consumption as a fresh or added to sauce.

Optimi

Open pollinated. 60 cm height. 70 days. Plant produces very good  yields of 12-15 cm  long red sweet bell peppers. Peppers turn from dark green to bright red when mature. Peppers have thick walls, are sweet, and juicy. Because the high yield it need stick.

Plato 77

Open pollinated. 80 days. Bell shape fruit with long of 8-10 cm. Fruit color change from green to red during maturity. Plant heigh is about 50 cm. Moderate to high heat.

Platoni 33

 Open pollinated. 75 days. Red hot pepper. Fruits are 10 cm long.

Frontis  (F1)

 Hybrid  pepper. Fruits are sweet and red which are 15 to 18 cm long when fully grown. This type is particularly suited for growing in  greenhouse. Plants produce good yield.

 Koriate

 Open pollinated variety. Plant height of 55 cm. An attractive medium-hot pepper. Plant produce heavy long thin peppers up to 18 cm in length.

 Long flory 

 Open pollinated. 80 cm plant height. Sweet pepper, which matures in 80-90 days from transplanting. Fruits are 15-20 cm long. Good yield.

 Makri 35 (F1) 

 Makri 35 is a hybrid of hot peppers. The hybrid has an average early age. It can be plant both in open field and greenhouse.

The fruits are long, thin with the length of 15 cm. This hybrid give long cycles of production, give high yield .It  can be used as a fresh consumption and also for processing.
